
Apple and Liverwurst Spritz Cookies
These delightful and nutritious spritz cookies are packed with apple and liverwurst, providing a rich source of protein and fiber for your canine friend. They are easy to prepare and make a perfect treat for training or rewarding your pet.

- stick blender
- Oven
- baking sheet
- cookie press or meat grinder
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1.7 oz dog liverwurst
- 1 whole egg
- 30 g psyllium husk, soaked
- 2/3 cup rice flour
- 3/4 cup oat or buckwheat flour
- 1 tsp oil (rapeseed or coconut oil)
Instructions
- Combine the applesauce, dog liverwurst, oil, and psyllium husk in a mixing bowl.
- Puree the ingredients using a stick blender.
- Next, fold in the rice flour and oat or buckwheat flour.
- Fill the dough into a cookie press or meat grinder and shape the dough.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet and slide into a preheated oven. Bake each sheet for about 10 – 15 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
- Lastly, spread the cookies again on the sheet and dry in the oven at 122°F (50°C) until they are hard. Please keep the oven door slightly open during this process.
