Baking Mat Dog Treat Recipe: Parmesan Meets Egg (Flourless)
This is a simple yet protein-rich dog treat recipe using just parmesan cheese and eggs. It’s grain-free, making it suitable for dogs with specific diet needs.
Equipment
- Baking mat
- Mixing Bowl
- Hand mixer or food processor
- Oven
Ingredients
- 150 grams Parmesan, grated
- 3 pieces Eggs
Instructions
- Weigh the grated Parmesan and combine it with the eggs in the mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients to a smooth dough with a hand mixer or a food processor. The dough should have a consistency similar to pancake batter.
- Let the dough rest for about 20 – 30 minutes before processing. Then place the baking mat on a baking tray.
- After the waiting time, fill the dough into the depressions. (Please make sure that no air bubbles form). Remove the excess dough with a dough scraper. Then the baking tray with the baking mat can go into the oven.
- The baking time per tray is about 20 – 45 minutes (depending on your oven, the size of your baking mat, and the ingredients). The biscuits should easily come out of the baking mat when they are done. If they still stick a bit, they should bake a few minutes longer. Possibly increase or decrease the temperature depending on how brown the biscuits are. At the end, spread all dog biscuits back on the tray and dry in the oven at about 176°F (80°C) until they are really hard. This can take about 5-6 hours, depending on how thick the biscuits are. Please leave the oven door slightly open. Happy baking!
