  • 1 can Mackerel in own juice
  • 3.5 oz Parsnip, cooked
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Rapeseed oil
  • 0.6 cup Potato flour

Instructions

  • Drain the juice from the mackerel.
  • Place the mackerel, parsnip, eggs, and oil in a mixing bowl and puree finely with a hand blender.
  • Gradually fold in the potato flour and buckwheat flour until a thick batter is formed.
  • Then spread the batter with a spatula in the baking mat and bake for about 20 – 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C). If the biscuits are still sticking a bit, reduce the temperature slightly and extend the baking time by 10-15 minutes.
  • Afterwards, carefully remove the biscuits from the baking mat and dry in the oven at about 158°F (70°C) for about 3 – 4 hours. (Please wedge a wooden spoon in the oven door so that the moisture can escape.)

Notes

These dog treats are not only tasty but also beneficial for your dog’s health. Mackerel is a rich source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which can help to maintain a shiny coat and healthy skin. Parsnip is a good source of dietary fiber and several vitamins and minerals, including potassium and vitamin C. These treats can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the fridge for up to a month. You can also vary the recipe by using different types of fish or vegetables.
