Equipment

  • Baking mat
  • Mixing Bowl
  • blender
  • Whisk
  • spatula

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Potatoes
  • 80 gr Lean Goat Meat
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1/3 cup Rice Flour
  • 1 cup Buckwheat Flour
  • 1/2 cup Water approximately
  • 1 tsp Canola Oil
  • 4 gr Spirulina Powder

Instructions

  • First, cook the potatoes and lean goat meat in a small pot until they are soft. Allow them to cool slightly before proceeding.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, meat, cooked potatoes, oil, and water. Use a blender to puree the ingredients into a fine mass.
  • Gradually add the two types of flour until a thick dough forms. Now add the Spirulina powder and thoroughly mix it in with a whisk.
  • Spread the dough into the baking mat with a spatula and bake for about 30 – 50 minutes at 350°F (175°C). The baking time may vary depending on the size of the baking mat. If the biscuits still stick a bit, simply reduce the temperature and extend the baking time by 10-15 minutes.
  • Once baking is complete, gently remove the biscuits from the baking mat and dry them for another 3-4 hours at 158°F (70°C). To let the moisture escape, it’s recommended to prop the oven door open with a wooden spoon.

Notes

These biscuits are not only tasty, but they also offer a range of health benefits including improved digestion and boosted immune system thanks to the protein-rich goat meat and nutrient-packed Spirulina. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. They make for a great reward during training or as a special treat. Variations can include using different types of lean meat or adding in other dog-safe fruits or vegetables.
